Fittees Physical Therapy and Wellness

Dr. Tochi Egbuzie

PT, DPT, FAAOMPT · Physical Therapist

Dr. Egbuzie earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Loma Linda University, then completed a Fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy through the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists, the highest level of post-professional training in hands-on orthopedic physical therapy. Her clinical expertise is in orthopedic and musculoskeletal care, and she treats the full range of it: the ankle you rolled last Tuesday, and the back pain that has quietly reorganized your life around it. Care at Fittees is individualized and delivered one on one, with the emphasis on movement quality, pain reduction, and function that still holds up long after your last visit.

In Her Words
You should be able to explain your own condition to someone else by the time you leave. Education and open communication are not extras in recovery, they are how recovery happens.

Training & Credentials

Fellowship trained in orthopedic manual therapy.

Plenty of clinics will tell you their staff is experienced. Fewer will tell you what the training actually was. Dr. Egbuzie holds a doctorate and a fellowship, and every certification below was earned to answer a specific clinical problem, not to lengthen a signature.

01

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Egbuzie completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Loma Linda University. That is the level of training that lets her differentially diagnose what is driving your symptoms rather than treating whatever hurts most on the day you walk in.

02

Fellowship, AAOMPT

She holds a Fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy through the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists, the highest level of post-professional training in hands-on orthopedic physical therapy. The FAAOMPT after her name is what that fellowship earns.

03

Advanced certifications

Dry Needling. Vestibular Rehabilitation. Concussion Management. Diploma of Osteopractic. Spinal Manipulation. Each one widens what can be handled in the room with you instead of referred out and waited on.

Core Values

What guides the work.

Dr. Egbuzie's approach is collaborative and evidence-based, and those two words carry real weight here. Collaborative means you are a partner in your plan of care, not a passenger in it. You will be told what the examination found, why a technique was chosen, and what the plan asks of you between visits. Evidence-based means the reasoning behind that choice can be explained in plain language, and it changes when your response to treatment says it should.

The work is one on one, start to finish. Nobody is handed a photocopied sheet of exercises and left in a corner. Sessions run 45 to 60 minutes with your Doctor of Physical Therapy, and the emphasis stays on movement quality, on getting pain out of the driver's seat, and on function that outlasts the plan of care. Whether you are days into an acute injury or years into pain that no one has managed to explain, the standard does not change.

Why the explaining matters

Dr. Egbuzie believes education and open communication are essential to recovery. A patient who understands their own condition makes better decisions in all the hours they are not in the clinic, and those hours are where most of the healing actually happens.

Clinical Focus

Where the expertise goes deepest.

Orthopedic and musculoskeletal care is the core of the practice: spines, shoulders, hips, knees, and the persistent pain that has already outlasted rest, stretching, and a few opinions. Manual therapy, dry needling, spinal manipulation, and vestibular rehabilitation are all delivered in house by the same clinician who evaluated you.

Women's health and pelvic health

Women's health is a priority at Fittees, and pelvic health is a stated specialty of the practice. Pelvic floor pain, discomfort, and dysfunction are common, rarely discussed, and very treatable, and they are handled here the same way everything else is: privately, one on one, with a clear explanation of what is happening and why. If you have been told to live with it, that is worth a second conversation.
