You did not train this long to run a room full of patients at once and call it treatment. If you want a full session with one person, your own clinical judgment, and a paycheck that does not need a second job holding it up, keep reading. Fittees is a growing one on one practice in Sachse, Texas, and Dr. Tochi Egbuzie is looking for an experienced, full time licensed Physical Therapist to join her.
Fittees is a growth minded practice with a specific personality. We take the work seriously and ourselves considerably less so. Humor is welcome, real relationships with patients are the point rather than a bonus, and nobody here is asked to perform a version of themselves that fits a corporate script. If you have worked somewhere that treated warmth as unprofessional, this will read differently.
An experienced, full time licensed Physical Therapist for our Sachse location. Someone who wants to build a caseload rather than inherit a conveyor belt, who is comfortable being the clinician in the room, and who is genuinely interested in the people on the table. Passion for the profession is not a line we put in the ad to fill space. It is the thing that separates the candidates we hire from the ones we do not.
A wide demographic range, athletes through seniors, acute injuries through long standing pain. Sessions are 45 to 60 minutes, one on one, which means you treat rather than supervise. Expect variety inside a single day: a shoulder, a vestibular case, a return to sport progression, a patient who has been told by three people that nothing is wrong.
You carry your own caseload and make your own clinical decisions. Nobody hovers over your plan of care or overrules it from a spreadsheet. That independence comes with an expectation that you collaborate: talk through the difficult cases, ask for a second opinion, share what worked. Autonomy and isolation are not the same thing, and only one of them is on offer here.
An active Texas physical therapy license. Experience preferred. Beyond the credential we look for excellent patient engagement, strong communication with patients and colleagues, and real passion for the profession. The people who do well here are dependable, adaptable, detail oriented and genuinely like people. If a patient's day is better for having spent an hour with you, you are the right shape for this practice.
Competitive base salary plus a bonus structure, set deliberately so the therapist in this role does not need a second job propping up the first. This is a demanding profession. The pay here is built on the assumption that it is what you do, not one of the things you do.
Medical, dental and vision coverage, a 401k, accrued paid time off, holiday pay, and CEU reimbursement. The full list, in writing, at the offer stage, so nothing quietly changes shape between the interview and your first payslip.
Full time and part time options. If your life includes school pickup, a sport you compete in, or a family situation that needs room, say so during the conversation. We would rather build a schedule around someone we want than lose them to a rigid one.
Structured mentorship with unlimited CEUs, alongside a fellowship trained Doctor of Physical Therapy. Your clinical questions get answered by someone who is still treating patients every week, which is a different kind of answer than a manual gives you.
A therapist who is given time, autonomy and a reason to keep learning does better work. Everything about how this practice is built follows from that.
Growth here covers three things on purpose: mindset, skillset and network. Mindset because the clinician who burns out is usually the one who was never taught how to carry the work. Skillset because manual therapy rewards deliberate practice and nothing else. Network because the people you learn beside are the people you will still be calling years from now.
Monthly clinical education sessions run through joint mobilizations, neurodynamics, exercise progression and regression, and blood flow restriction. Career advancement is discussed openly and early rather than deferred to an annual review that keeps getting rescheduled. If you want to go deeper into a specialty, say which one, and we will build the runway toward it instead of nodding politely.
